Overview
Experienced Security Operations and SOAR Engineer to maintain, enhance, and automate enterprise security operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SOAR platforms, strong IT security expertise, and proficiency in Python and YAML. Knowledge of Palo Alto XSOAR and experience managing Windows and Linux servers is highly desirable, with additional experience in Web proxies, Network IDS/IPS, Firewalls, EDR, or other programming languages considered a plus. In this role, you will perform daily platform configuration updates, ensure compliance with security standards, resolve incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational responses. You will own configuration review and recertification processes, deliver KPIs, support platform upgrades, and contribute to projects by gathering stakeholder feedback and implementing customised security solutions. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with IT/security teams and defending security practices effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the security orchestration and automation platform.
- Perform day-to-day configuration updates to implement customer change requests following the company’s formal change process.
- Verify compliance of configurations and implementations against technical security standards and product baselines.
- Handle problem resolution and provide ongoing support.
- Collaborate with other technical teams on operational incident responses.
- Initiate configuration review and recertification processes as the process owner, working with business and technical stakeholders to validate accuracy and correctness.
- Deliver KPIs to report on task execution and performance.
- Support the platform upgrade project from version 6 to version 8.
- Contribute to projects alongside operational tasks, including collecting stakeholder feedback (compliance, risk, security) and customising and implementing new solutions.
Must Have Skills
- Experienced in Python (and YAML).
- Experience maintaining a SOAR platform.
- Knowledge of Palo Alto XSOAR is a bonus.
- At least a few years of experience in IT security with the right security mindset.
- Experience maintaining Windows and Linux servers.
- Strong technical background in technologies and infrastructure solutions.
- Any experience in the following domains/products is a plus: Web proxies, Network IDS/IPS, Firewalls, EDR, other programming languages.
- Good communicator in English, both verbal and written, able to discuss and defend security interests with individuals and groups of IT/security experts.
